"Only the Memories Remain"

I frequently visit Yellowstone National Park in the State of Wyoming and one particular time while I was there,  I got attached to a legendary bear called Rosey.  She was often seen hanging around Roosevelt Tower in Yellowstone.  Then 3 years ago Rosey  gave birth to two beautiful cubs: one cub had cinnamon color and the other one was black (pictured in photo).  For many days, these two would entertain each other while I was capturing their images. They would climb and swing from trees and their mother would always be sitting under the tree looking up at them happily at play and at the same time she would be watching for any dangers to warn them in her own language.

 "Kids be careful"

They tirelessly played until one fateful day, a bear named BOAR BEAR arrived to their territory wanting to mate with Moma Rosey. She didn't want anything to do with mating at this point as she only wanted to watch her two little ones; so Rosey put the fight of her life to fend of Boar Bear.  Her back was tore up in bloody patches of skin.

Well... sad to say, Boar Bear killed one of Rosey's cubs (in photo) but the other one escaped. This baby was so adorable and only if you saw with your own eyes, you could feel the pain of this dramatic story.
I tried to record not only the beauty of these majestic bears but also the savagery which they can, at times, display and so, I took images of her bloody skin and patches of her skin missing. To witness wild nature with all its force left a mark on me as well.

I cried for many days. I was so sad and in a haze, walking around without a camera in hand. I love my camera. It's an extension of myself but I couldn't even pick up my camera for weeks after this horrible incident took place.

Then Moma Rosey left the area and I haven't been to Yellowstone ever since.

Now, only the  memories of this tragic event in wild nature remain...
